Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve

The Coastal Training Program is a program of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (CBNERR)  which aims to protect and manage the diversity of habitats found within the Maryland portion of the Bay. Check out the reserve page on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' website

CBNERR is part of a national system of reserves which are connected by NERRA and supported by NOAA. 

NOAA’s Office of Coastal Management provides guidance, funding, Federal coordination, and technical assistance to all of the reserves. To learn more about the federal reserve system, check out the NOAA’s website.  

NERRA is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing the work of Reserves by communicating Reserve funding needs and priorities to Congress, enhancing NERRS programs, and educating the public about estuaries. To learn more about how NERRA supports CBNERR check out their website
