Meet Our Program Coordinator Christine Burns 443-534-4151 Christine is a Coastal Planner with the Chesapeake & Coastal Service of Maryland Dept of Natural Resources. Her focus on is delivering science-based information to communities and decision makers to reduce the impacts of flooding and sea level rise and adapt to changes associated with those impacts. As part of her role, Christine is responsible for running and coordinating the Coastal Training Program (CTP) for the Reserve. She has worked on coastal resilience issues for the past 9 years with over half of those spent here in Maryland. Her experience ranges from working on the Federal level at NOAA to working for local non-profits, first as a Chesapeake Conservation Corps volunteer at Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy (now Shore Rivers, Inc) and most recently at the Anacostia Riverkeeper. Christine has a B.S. in Environmental Science from Dickinson College and an M.S. in Marine Science from the University of Georgia. She lives in Edgewater, MD with her husband and her black lab.
